Creating a community of Climate Action
Thank you for the mahi you are involved in and would like to further support. This survey is a response from an Enviro Hui held in 2019, as a call to action.
It would be appreciated if you could answer all the questions – for each completed survey we will plant, and tend, a tree as koha for your time. There is also a chance to receive a small "climate action “ kete!
Purpose
This survey is to celebrate the great work that is happening to support climate and restoration actions in the community and to find out what challenges you face, how we can support and/ or connect you with local community networks, groups, or resources.
Background
There are a number of well-established community-based groups and networks in North Auckland that offer support to new, developing or small community groups or individuals wanting to “do something” to effect change. This support ranges from providing expertise; providing traps and tools; help with funding applications and submissions; help to attract volunteers; communications; writing plans; connecting iwi, hapū and other groups in a specific area; engaging with the community; running zero waste events and so on.
At the Enviro hui North last year, a number of people asked if they could be connected with networks and with other community groups so they could grow participation and impact. This survey is the result of that Call to Action.
Please forward this email on to others in your networks or community groups you know of that might be looking for support or connections in mitigating climate change.
There are 16 questions - it will take approximately 10-20 mins to complete.
