Have your say on the Annual Budget, Local Board Plans and the CCO review

The Annual Budget consultation has begun and we encourage everyone to get involved. The main topics are around waste management charges, swimming pool inspections, targeted rates, building and resource consents and increases to fees to maintain cost recovery. The Ōrākei Local Board Plan is currently being drafted and we are seeking your input into the direction of our priorities for the next three years.  Encompassing the environment, local parks, community events, town centres,  local economy, culture, heritage, transport and more.   Help shape your local community by joining the conversation at one of our local events or drop-in sessions.   More information on Facebook or online HERE

Ōrākei Environment Forum

Environmentally motivated groups and individuals from across the Ōrākei Local Board area are invited to join us on 29 March at the Remuera Golf Club.  Let's find ways to work towards our common goals, together.  All are welcome.  More information HERE
Grant opportunity

Applications for grants of up to $10,000 are now open.  If your project, idea, group or event helps meet local board priorities, you may be eligible.

Neighbours Day 2020

The Meadowbank and St Johns Residents Association is holding a Neighbours Day 2020 event on Saturday 4 April, and photography competition.  It would be great to see you all involved.

Movies in Parks

Glover Park will be transformed into a free outdoor cinema as Yesterday is played on the big screen. Part of Auckland Councils Movies in Parks, proudly supported by the local board. Friday 13 March.

The next Ōrākei Locl Board Business Meeting will be held at St Chads Church, 38 St Johns Road, Meadowbank between 3-7pm Thursday 19 March. All are welcome.
