On June 30 our temporary removal of our windscreen excess for all customers will end but we still have many ways we can support our customers, outlined in this Inside Word.

Financial hardship fund reminder  

With the impacts of Covid-19 still being felt by many New Zealanders*, we want to remind you of the support options that continue to be available to Vero customers.

You'll see Vero advertising reminding customers that we’re here to help and encouraging them to talk to you, their broker, for guidance. We’ve attached an example for your reference.    

We have a Financial Hardship Fund of up to $10M to help our customers keep cover in place if they are facing financial stress because of Covid-19.

The support available to eligible customers include:

For Personal insurance customers – a premium waiver provides short term payment relief if a customer has lost income due to Covid-19. This could be extended if a customer has already taken up this option and they are still in need of support. Or, if they have had a premium deferral, a waiver may now be an option for them.

For Business insurance customers – financial support is available at renewal time for those who have lost income due to Covid-19.
