Actions required
If this (older model) product has been identified then stop using it immediately and take steps to ensure it cannot be used. Label it as unsafe and have it tested/repaired by a licenced electrical worker, or permanently removed from future service.
If you are not sure whether the supply lead you have is the one identified in this safety alert, it is recommended as a precautionary measure to have it tested.
Warning
These leads may be repaired but this work can only be done by an appropriately registered and licenced electrical worker.
The nature of the manufacturing fault in this product requires relocation of the internal components of the connector.
The public or homeowners are not permitted to carry out this repair or any other electrical work on connectable installation supply leads.
Important notes for caravan owners
A reminder to all persons that have caravans, motor homes, pleasure vessels or other connectable installations. When you are next having your WoEF carried out ensure you present any spare supply leads you may have for testing not only the one that is currently or was last in use.
