Updated Friday 14 October 9am: Richard Hills has won the North Shore Ward Auckland Council seat by 128 votes after special votes were counted.

Vernon Tava has been elected to Waitematā Local Board.

Phil Goff has been voted new Mayor of Auckland.

Preliminary results for the mayor and ward councillors are below.

Where results are too close to call, candidates may have to wait until the final results (which include special votes) on 13 October.
