Auckland Domain Volunteer Form
Auckland Domain is one of Auckland’s most spectacular parks, home to a wide variety of trees, many of which are more than 100 years old.
This Arbor Day,5 June, parks staff will be on site laying mulch around some of these trees to improve growing conditions.
The mulching will provide enhanced growing conditions for the totara and oak trees that were planted 150 years ago, being some of the oldest surviving park trees in Auckland.
Meet at the grandstand at 1pm.
Please bring a spade, bucket or wheelbarrow if you have them. We’ll supply the guidance and a barbecue afterwards. Remember to wrap up warm and wear suitable shoes.
Register here if you’d like to join us or if you can’t make it on the day but are keen to be contacted about future events.
