• Inorganic Collections for Multi-unit Developments

Auckland Council has introduced a new residential inorganic collection service across the region.

The kerbside inorganic collection is now discontinued and any inorganic waste placed on the kerbside will be regarded as illegal dumping. The new service is available to all households including those within multi-unit developments such as apartments, units, gated communities and retirement villages.

The new inorganic collection will be pre-booked and made from within property boundaries. The collection will be limited to 1 cubic metre of complying items per household. There will need to be a designated area(s) within the development, where the items can be safely stored and accessed for collection. Contractors will need to visit some multi-developments in advance to arrange for a safe and efficient collection of material.

Auckland Council would like Body Corporates and/or Building Managers to register their interest in the service using this online form. You still need to make a booking, but this will ensure contractors can keep multi-unit developments informed before the collection commences in each area.

Any inquires regarding inorganic collections for multi-unit developements can be directed to wasteplanmultiunit@aucklandcouncil.govt.nz

Please Note: Completing this form does not commit the multi-unit development to accepting the service nor does it produce a booking for collection
