Maungakiekie-Tāmaki Local Board welcomes your views on how to improve Panmure Wharf Reserve and Mt Wellington War Memorial Park.

The objective is to prepare a concept plan for both Panmure Wharf Reserve and Mt Wellington War Memorial Park that:

•     enhances greenway opportunities to provide cycling and walking connections linking the parks, communities and coast

•     provides for environmental enhancement e.g. through coastal planting

•     recognises the value and significance of the area to mana whenua

•     reflects the uses/lease areas in each park and identifies opportunities for shared use of facilities

•     provides efficient access and circulation, and reduces potential for pedestrian and vehicle conflicts

•     provides for formal and informal recreation activities (land and water related)

•     identifies if there are opportunities to provide further capacity for field based sports at Mt Wellington War Memorial Park.

Your feedback will help shape draft concept options, and you will have the opportunity for further input later in the year. We need to receive your feedback by 5pm, Friday 8th August 2014.

Please note, the concept plans will still be subject to funding being allocated to undertake the physical development and relevant regulatory consents/permits being obtained before these works could occur.
