Focus on Auckland City Council Archives collections

The database of archives of the former Auckland City Council is accessible via the Auckland Council website and contains more than 168,000 entries, with the earliest record dating from 1852. The records come from Auckland City Council 1871-1989, Auckland City 1989-2010 and the local authorities that amalgamated with Auckland City Council prior to 1989 and with Auckland City in 1989.

These included Arch Hill, Eden Terrace, Epsom, Orakei and Remuera Road Boards, Auckland, Avondale, Ellerslie, Grey Lynn, Mt Eden, Mount Roskill, Mount Wellington, Newmarket, Onehunga, Otahuhu, One Tree Hill, and Parnell Borough Councils, Mount Albert and Tamaki City Councils and Great Barrier and Waiheke County Councils.
