Last year we issued Electric Vehicle Charging Safety Guidelines.
The guidelines inform the public how electrical safety is achieved in the Electrical (Safety) Regulations 2010, taking into account compliance with New Zealand’s electricity supply arrangements and safety provisions.
We have produced a draft revision of the guidelines, including recent developments in technology and standards and comments that have been received over the past year.
We welcome your comments on these draft guidelines.
You can view the documents on our website:
Part One - Safety fundamentals
Part Two - Selection and installation
Part Three - Electric vehicle supply equipment - New Zealand specific requirements
